AT? Hosting

AT? is a big disappointment to me - service is prompt and helpful about half the time. I feel like I'm always dealing with a rookie - I can't tell you how many times I've been told "we've never heard of that before", and I'm not doing anything very complicated. An online support manual would be a big help!!

One World Hosting is great - simple and easy to use (I was a "newbie" when I started), and easy to upgrade when I was ready for more advanced capabilities. Support was the highlight - quick, friendly, and smart. Best of all - I get my hosting free! They have a great referral program - for every customer you bring in they'll take $5 off your monthly fee. I'd recommend this company for nothing, but getting my own hosting for free is awesome!

Catalog.com offers a lot, and delivers some of it. I was very disappointed in the speed of my site - I don't know if they are running too many IPs to a box, or if they just don't have a good connection, but I have too many customers who have ended transactions in the middle (before I get paid!) because of the wait. Support is pretty good though - no complaints there.

It's a great deal - a one time only fee for the "basic" account, but their real purpose seems to be to drive you to a more expensive account - support is VERY slow and not always informative. Sometimes I think they started with a good idea and got overwhelmed with the response.

Nice Control Panel; fast servers; support always responds within 24 hours, usually sooner. I really notice the improved speed from being "on net." Definitely recommend.

Sure sounded good -- inexpensive plan, fast connection, 24/7 tech support. But none of it mattered when my website would constantly go down with "server too busy" errors. My calls to tech support were met only with frustration. They promised to look into it, or to send me a follow-up email, or to move the site onto a different server. Nothing. Three times I called my sales rep, and three times he said he would "personally walk it over to his supervisor, you'll here back in a few hours." Never heard back.

Very good service. The server response could be faster at times but overall I'm happy with their services and their support is quick and helpful.

Easy to setup. Far and better then Far Pricing and services. Good Support PHP3, CGI, XSSI and the works (I don't feel like writing everything down). one thing that they offer that I didn't see anywhere else was SSH support. I pay $5 a month for 2mb (not much but hey) get SSL and SSH. The only thing that I don't like is only one Telnet account. But you also get full (kinda) DNS control over your domain (meaning, I can make subdomains)

They waste all their money in advertising rather than technology or support. They say that in "24 hours" some representative should contact you if you have some problem. When you write to support, it's not big surprise if you have to wait 48 hours for an answer. Some times, if the question is somehow "delicate" they don't answer. For example, once I asked if they were able to turn on domain resolving for my account as I need it in order to target my banners to different countries. They didn't reply. Btw, they host more than 1000 domains per machine!. So they make at least 360.000 bucks a year out from a single machine!. It doesn't matter if they make money but the service is fast, but it's not. They also claim to have links to major backbones. As far as I have tested, tabnet is only fast from Digex, and Sprint. It's actually pretty slow from MCI which is second major backbone!.

I don't give out praise very easily (and concerning my previous 2 hosting providers-- not at all), but I have received excellent service from NetQuest911 Network. I didn't believe all their 'customer service' hype when I first signed up... especially after being at Galaxy-Web. However, they have made a believer out of me. The few times I have needed their support, they have been quick to respond and have helped me to solve my problems. One tech even downloaded one of my problem cgi scripts, corrected the problem, and then re-uploaded it for me--- FOR FREE! That never happened at Galaxy or IIC Internet. I have found a home and I'd like to encourage others to take a look at NetQuest911.

I am overwhelmed by how friendly these people are. I'm going to law school and hence keep very odd hours, but the customer service reps -- no matter how late -- stay with me until my problem is fixed. Which is a must, because these tuition bils are mounting!
